Not all men are dogs...
Not all men are dogs
Okay, really we as women need to stop this, not all men are dogs. Yes, we have had our share of doggie men, men who lied, cheated, ghosted us, who said they wanted a relationship but clearly didn't. Men who treated you like a booty call, who made you feel like you weren't enough, didn't text you or treated you like an afterthought but by no means is that all men.
I tell my girlfriends all the time, don't lump all men into the suckie men category. I know good men. Hell, I was raised by good men, both my real father and step father were the best men you could meet. My "Big daddy" Sam, a close family friend was an amazing man who was in my life since I was 5.
I have incredible male friends who are great fathers, who are loving and faithful, who are also wondering where are all the good women.
I have guy friends I can call day or night and say "Hey I need you" and they would be there for me. Men who are good sons, who help out their family, who will drop everything when your tire is flat or you need a helping hand. Men who never miss a dance recital, a school event or time with their children.
I have ex's who are still in my life, hell one even gave my daughter a car! My ex fiance even invited me to his wedding. They are great guys, who for one reason or another it didn't work out between us, that doesn't diminish the fact that they are good men.
There are plenty of men who are shitted on by their ex's, when the women try to use their children against them, when all they want to do is the right thing.
I know Godly men, men who are committed to finding a good women, men who are hard working, who have aspirations and dreams and are willing to work together to achieve them. Men that cook, clean and are thoughtful, these are the diamonds in the rough.
Yes, I know there are good men, I refuse to lump them together with the losers I had picked (See the past tense had picked, not anymore!)
It's like condemning all the Muslims for a act that a few did...it makes no sense.
I also will not close my heart off, like so many of my girlfriends because I've been hurt, I want a relationship with a good man, hell I deserve one after all the frogs I've kissed.
So I will continue to try to weed out the bad ones to find that someone special and until I do I will be the cheerleader for the good men that are out there, looking for us...the good women, because not all men are dogs.
