Blogging and being real
Blogging and being real
So I read somewhere that this blogger sold an article when he started taking his personal interjection out of it. I started to wonder about that and how I write, I know that as a writer I write from my soul.
Writing is who I am, and who I am is my writing.
I write about what I know, what I've been through and how I see the world. Now not everyone will agree on my way of thinking and that's fine. That is what makes the world go around, we are all different, with different views and ideas.
I appreciate others' opinions and points of views. To me this is what keeps me learning and growing as a person, to be able to look at something I may have not seen, in a different way. To be able to have a different opinion and still like a person, still be open to look at it from their point of view.
He did say it was okay to do if you've lived an interesting and insightful life. I definitely feel that I have and continue to do so. I have been through so much pain, so many losses and have overcome so many obstacles in my life and still have a positive attitude about life and people. I want to try to inspire others not to give up, to let them know they are not alone. I can't imagine writing and not interjecting part of myself into that.
I know reporter's are not supposed to become personally involved in their stories but as writers that is different. You are creating the story, not reporting on it. This is a part of you, you birth this and brought it to life from your imagination and your thoughts.
I write about all different kinds of things, the world, politics, dating, relationships, addiction, and hardships. Yet, it is all from my point of view, what I've learned, and what I continue to learn.
Do I feel more people in this cancel culture have something to say about your opinion? Absolutely, and many times not so nicely I may add. But if you choose to put yourself out there that comes with the territory.
I just keep it moving as I always remember laughing when my mom would say opinions are like assholes everyone has one. That is why we live in America, we are all allowed our opinions, at least for now.
So today my friends, my question to you is do you read blogs or articles that don't have a personal touch to them or do you want to relate somehow to the writer and what they are speaking about? For me personally I relate better reading someone's story then them just telling me the facts but I would love to hear your thoughts.
