How time flies...

Sometimes you blink your eyes and you can't believe how many years go by... Today is one of those days....today my baby turns 16...wow... where did the time go?

I remember when they told me I was pregnant with her, it was the best day and the worst day of my life...." congratulations  your pregnant...but there is a cyst growing and we don't know if it's cancerous or not so you need emergency surgery now"

Those words cut my heart, how do you do surgery while your pregnant?  When the cyst and the baby are fighting for space and are so close to each other....
They didn't give her much odds to survive, I was 4 months along when they did the surgery.
They said it would be a miracle if she did survive ... they obviously don't know the miracles my God has done in my life and yes, she was born  6 months later after all the surgery and bed rest I went through, my "miracle baby"

She held my heart from the moment I held her in my arms, she was so different from her sister, as soon as she learned to walk, she was gone, god for bid you let go of her hand,poof she was gone...she had a mischievous look in her eyes, always planning her escape, she had a hardy laugh and a smile that could and still can light up a room and she had this unbelievable attachment to a little pink elephant she named ellie, he went everywhere with her hanging from her little hand while her thumb was in her mouth... this is the picture of her I will hold in my heart forever.

Today she is a young lady, she turns sixteen, long gone is ellie and her days of escape. She is smart and athletic , a talented soccer player and straight A student , she is funny as hell, she is sweet and kind and she is an old soul through and through.
She knows more old songs than I do!
I am so proud of the women she is becoming and the incredible life she has a head of her.

So today my friends, enjoy every moment with your children, forget the dirty clothes, the dishes, the 101 chores, they are only young once... enjoy them now this minute because before you can blink your eyes they will be all grown up and your be here say where did the time go...

Happy sweet 16th birthday my miracle Cinco de mayo baby...Sarah I love you so very much and I am so proud of you!
