But I thought you felt. ....
It is funny how when we look back at things in our lives we remember them so different than someone else or even how you remember them.
Last night as I was talking to "a blast from my past" we ended up talking about the things that happened between us.
I said the things I remembered and then he said the things he remembered and guess what? There were certain things I remember that he did that hurt me and things that I did that hurt him and we never realized it.
We laughed at all the misunderstandings we both felt and looking through old eyes about things that years ago you felt so strongly about really don't amount to beans anymore.
Yes, as we get older, hopefully we mature and things we so firmly stood up for before we realize they weren't as important as we once thought they were.
Our perception changes, we know today we would do things differently , we would talk more, tell our true feelings because we know life is too short to hold back our feelings.
We've learned to say I am sorry more and I truly love you because you may never get a second chance. You want to live out life with no regrets.
Yes there are many things I wish I knew then that I know now... but you can't change the past, you can only learn from it and move forward.
So today my friends, think about the words you speak and how you speak them, maybe the other person isn't going to take them the way you intended, make sure if you love someone you don't walk away over a misunderstanding.
Remember live life now, live life big and tell the ones you love what you truly mean.
