You Are Not God, Dr. Condescending

I am mad. I mean I am really pissed off. I am relatively healthy and don't go to the doctor very often just for checkups. So maybe I am just not used to so many damn condescending doctors that are out there. 

I went for a visit and it took me a long time to decide to go because I was hoping that what was going on with me would go away with what I was doing. But it wasn't so I went. I get there sign in and wait my turn. After 45 minutes I go up to the desk to ask how much longer, as I have to get back to work. Well, they never checked me in and then the office manager had an attitude with me as if it was my fault that you are incompetent. I swear, so many people need to be working with dead people as they have no personality to be working with the public. 

I finally get into the room and the doctor comes in and as I am trying to explain what is going on with me and why I think I have this problem, he rudely cuts me off and tells me that I don't know what I am talking about. I'm taken back, shocked and so I go on to tell him that there is a Harvard study to back this up. He proceeds to tell me that you can also find studies that the world is flat or that the election was rigged doesn't mean that they are true. 

He then asks me what I have done. I tell him all that I have tried and he says “Sure everyone says they do what they are supposed to do and they don't do any of it”

So basically calling me a liar. Which I learned later on reading the other reviews was his MO to many patients. Note to self and others, read reviews on doctors before you go, not after.

He goes on to tell me if I don't continue to take this medication, the one the Havard report said gave me this and many other debilitating side effects, that I will fall and break my hip and die. These were his exact words: I can't make this shit up. Then he was gone 3 minutes of condescending and demeaning behavior and no offer to give me any other options to fix the problem I came in for and he was gone. 

Please bend over, that will be 100.00 for your visit today for nothing. I sat there with my mouth open thinking, wtf just happened? 

Oh but this isn't years ago where doctors could treat you any such way and you had to put up with it. No, I was writing the review before I was even walking out the door. 

In doing my review, I found many others who complained about this condescending behavior, the office staff and some patients said that he even made them cry. 

Is this what medicine has come to? The doctors no longer care about curing you. There is no such thing as trying a natural cure before shoving a pharmaceutical drug down your throat that puts money in their pockets. 

No, they think they are God. 

That they know it all and no matter how much research you do, you're an idiot if your opinion doesn't match their opinion.

So today my friends I am here to tell these doctors, that sorry Dr. Condensing, you are not God. I am in charge of my life and of my health. 

Only God knows it all, no matter how much schooling you think you have. When God says it is my time to be called home then it will be. But until then I will not be taking orders from some condensing, demeaning little prick. And hey, you can check out my reviews on him and his lousy office on Google under my treadmilltreats account. Think twice before you treat patients like this.
