Tips for men and their online profiles 

Yesterday I wrote about 10 tips for recognizing a catfish. In keeping with the online dating theme today I will try to help the men out with their online profiles.

So if you follow me you know that I've been on and off these dating sites for the last eight years and I can tell you I've seen everything.

I've tried all of them, paid and unpaid. I've tried Match, Christian mingle (Should be called freaky mingle) smh..

I've tried Eharmony where you have to answer 10 pages of questions and they sent me 3 old men who I obviously only matched with, Wtf? I've been on Bumble, POF, Facebook dating, and OK Cupid and they are all the same. 

But here's what I noticed on all of these sites, that many of the men have really lousy profiles. Speaking with my many single friends, they all feel the same way as I do. So these are the things we suggest they change.

1.You need more than one photo.

Come on don't you have a friend or sister or even a cousin that you can ask to take some nice pictures?

One photo means catfish to us and we are definitely swiping left and besides even if you are real, you can look great in one photo but not so great in others. 

2. Please for the love of God, 

no dirty bathroom selfies.

Why? They are so nasty, please refer to the above, about photos.

3. We all love animals and if you have a great picture of your dog or cat with you, that's great but 10 pictures of your dog? Are we dating your dog or you? Or does your dog look better than you? 

3. A picture of you at the beach is great.

Five shirtless pictures tells us you're looking for a hookup.

4. A bunch of pictures of your car, boat or home is not going to impress us and then you say we are gold diggers?

5. Nothing in your profile about yourself.

To many women, an empty profile equals an empty head. Seriously it's a half of a paragraph, you can do that or refer to number one and have someone help you.

6. Be honest.

Why say you're looking for a relationship and off jump you are sending us dick pics? If you are looking for a hookup, be honest there are many women looking for that as well, but the ones who are not will swipe left and not waste our time.

7. Have more than a headshot.

We all have our types, one woman may like big guys while another may like skinny ones. We want to see all of you and I am sure men feel the same way on this subject.

8. Please fill out the basics, height (to many, this is important) If you have kids or want kids, some of your hobbies, just let us know something about yourself.

9. Old pictures.

Look, we all looked better 20 years ago so why? We want to see what you look like now.

10. Please have at least one picture of you smiling.

I know many men want to look tough, or manly and smiling doesn't fit that profile but many women want to see if you even have teeth or some are really into a nice smile, so show at least one picture smiling.

Now don't come at me with what about women's profiles, as I have no idea as I have never looked for a woman but I'd be more than happy to write a blog with your tips on how to improve our profiles.

So today my friends, there you have my top ten tips on how to improve your profiles. Look if you're really interested in finding some you will put some effort into it. It's just like if you were going for a job interview, you would have a nice resume put together because you want that good job. The same thing applies here, if you want a good woman, you need to put a little effort into it and if you're at a loss, for a fee, I would be more than happy to help you improve yours. Put your best foot forward and happy fishing!
