Who are you to pass judgment?
Who are you to pass judgment?
After this horrible week, of the Orlando shootings and my week long series of Love, peace and tolerance,
I leave you with this finally blog.
I leave you with this finally blog.
I hope in some small way I might have written something this week that touched your heart and maybe changed or opened your mind to the fact that we are all the same and we should accept people for who they are.
That hatred and anger gets us no where but to pain and sorrow. Let these senseless killings not be in vain.

If you read my blog you know that I am a Christian, this is for me and about me.
I am far from a bible beating, verse thumping Christian, I am not perfect nor will I ever be.
I am far from a bible beating, verse thumping Christian, I am not perfect nor will I ever be.
I am all for everyone having their own "Faith", their own "Higher being" Whatever gets you through your day.
With that being said I see so many "Christians" throwing their bibles and condemning others for their choices and for things they surly didn't choose for themselves.
A pastor even went so far to say this week, that it was good this happened, that thats what you get when you chose this lifestyle.
Yes, many people think being gay is choice...really? Who would chose to be hated? Who would chose to be degraded? Who would choose to be called names, shot at, spit on, treated like 2nd class citizens with no rights?
Who? I sure the hell wouldn't chose that and they don't chose it either, its not a choice for them, its who they are, who they were when they were born.
No, most of us want to fit in, be accepted, be liked, we don't want people hating us. In this life, no one would willing choose this treatment.
Maybe growing up in New York, the melting pot, our minds were more open to diversity. Growing up my parents had Indian friends, Jewish friends, Black friends, gay friends, Transvestite friends oh, yeah our house was a trip during the holidays.
That gave me an open heart to everyone that maybe others didn't experience growing up.
Two of my mother's and I, closest friends were lesbians, they helped my parents out when I moved here and couldn't be there to care for them. They were the most caring, loving, giving couple you could ever want to meet.
Our kids grew up together, my girls even called them their aunts, I would do anything for them.
Our kids grew up together, my girls even called them their aunts, I would do anything for them.
One day when I dropped my girls at a girlfriends house to watch them as I went to work, I came home to find them hysterically crying, when I asked what was wrong they proceed to tell me that my girlfriend told them "Our aunts are going to burn in hell because they are gay"
My girls were about 6 and 8 at the time and they really thought their beloved aunts were going to burn in hell and this crushed them.
Well, I called my friend up and told her I get she is "Christian" and she obviously has her beliefs and could teach her kids, her "Christian ways" but how dare she teach or tell my girls that!
The God I believe in loves everyone, EVERYONE!
I don't tell her what to believe, don't dare tell me or my girls what to believe.
I don't tell her what to believe, don't dare tell me or my girls what to believe.
See this is the way these senseless killings keep happening, because people are so closed minded, they are so scared of anyone different, they have their whollier than thou attitude to everyone who doesn't believe what they believe.
I am a Christian, I believe in loving one another, in acceptance, in forgiveness, in tolerance....
So today my friends remember it doesn't matter what you believe, it only matters that we remember we are all the same, we are all humans trying to be the best we can be, sometimes we get it right, sometimes we don't, but we are still all the same.... who are you to pass judgment?
My love and prayers go out to the family and friends of the victims of Orlando.
May we all pray for love and tolerance for the rest of the world.
May we all pray for love and tolerance for the rest of the world.
