Dating Is Exhausting
So if you follow me you know that I am the Taylor Swift of blogging. Yes, I will write about all of my failed dates. Look if you don't laugh about dating these days you will cry.
Anyway dating today is exhausting, first you have to weed your way through all the "Catfish" You know the fake people who steal others' pictures and pretend to be them because obviously they have no life.
Hello! Most of us have lives, busy ass lives with jobs, children, bills and stress. We are grown ass women here with no time to date yet alone try to figure out who is trying to scam us.
And let me just say for the women who have young children in order to date we must pay for a babysitter and most of these dates are not babysitter worthy.
This alone is extremely exhausting, you like someone you start to chat with them and then you find out he's not real or not who he says he is…yuggg!
Now back to square one, back to fishing in the scummy pond.
Why can't people be who they really are? Forget the filters, the pictures from 20 years ago, forget trying to be someone you're not trying to impress someone who is clearly not who they say they are. Oh my God, why is dating so hard nowadays?
I love that meme about dating at this age "Are we doing this or not because I got shit to do"
Basically that sums it up for me. I got no time for bullshit, I got no time for fakes, I got no time for someone who is not looking for what I am looking for.
Men listen closely, we are not in high school anymore, don't ask a woman out that clearly states she wants a relationship and think you are going to get her to sleep with you. It's not happening. I've been there and done that. I was a man in my twenties, I slept with who I wanted to sleep with with no strings attached. But I am at a different place in my life now, I want a long term relationship not just sex.
And really men, get real, most women have a fwb (friend with benefits) out there for when the need arises. They already know how good it is with them so why would they sleep with you?
I will not be wasting time on your bullshit, I can spot a catfish or a bullshiter a mile away. Trust me I had plenty of practice. I want a real man who's not afraid of commitment, who will step up and be a king. Are there any kings left out there? I know there are but maybe they are lost in the woods on their horse.
So today my friends let's all try to remember that we have busy lives, and try not to waste each other's time.
Let's cut to the chase, be real, hell be honest so that we may be able to make an informed decision without wasting days, weeks or months of our precious lives.
Because dating is really exhausting these days.
