You never know what is going on inside of that shiny dress
Tgif Treadmill Treats
You never know whats under that shiny dress
You never know what is going on in the inside of a person by looking at the outside. Yes, they maybe in a fancy suit or dress, their hair and nails may be done and they may be driving the car you always wanted.
Maybe they live in the big house on the hill you've always dreamed off, have this great job with the corner office or this great life but you have no idea what is going on in the inside.
They might be suffering from depression so bad that they can't get out of bed in the morning, that women looking so sharp might be in a verbally abusive marriage, she may hate herself and her life (but hey, don't she look good?)
That person that speaks so well and is highly educated may still have demons chasing them from their childhood of abusive and neglect. They can't ever trust and they ruin all their relationships because of that.
You only see what they want you to see, the nice shiny, polished side and so that you think "Wow that person has it all or it so pulled together"
When the truth is, they are barely holding on. I was talking to a friend who asked why I put all my life on my blog, it is so that I might break the myth of that!
Yes, I looked like I had it all.. nice house, nice car, great vacations, two kids, nice clothes, jewelry, perfect marriage. Yes, to the outside world I had a life anyone would want or envy! Ahhh..but you only saw what I wanted you to see! On the inside I was dying a slow painful death, hating my life and how I let him treat me but you would have never known looking at me because I looked so good, so put together.
I write about all of my life, the good the bad and the ugly to try to dismiss this myth and help others get out of the darkness and let them know there is a light, that it's okay not to look or be perfect, that we are all broken in one way or another and most of us are faking it till we make it.
You must be truthful and you must believe that there are better days to come, and you must have faith .
So today my friends when I tell you that old saying is true "Never judge a book by its cover" because you never know if their is a horror story in there under that pretty cover!
"Be the change you want to see"
"And just when the caterpillar thought his life over...he turned into a beautiful butterfly"
