Church hurt 

For those of you who don't know what church hurt means (I didn't know before I started going to church)

Church hurt means you were going to a church, and either the members or the pastor did or did not do something to or for you.

For example, someone I knew was going to a church, and she couldn't hold weekly prayer meetings at her home anymore because of how late they were ending. She is a single mother who had to get up early for work the next day, and this was just too hard for her. Because of this, they demoted her from being a usher and made her sit in the back of the church as punishment.

Someone else I know had volunteered at every function at church. She was on multiple church committees. She came early to every event to help set up and stayed late to help clean up. She gave rides to pastors who didn't drive and was always Jonny on the spot for anything they needed. 

When I reached out to them during a difficult time in her life to help her out, none of these so-called "Christians" came to her rescue. 

These two were "church hurt" and no longer attend church because of this reason. There are many more stories like this that I have heard throughout the years about being church hurt. 

Now, this doesn't mean they are not believers, just that they will no longer attend church. Religious establishments wonder why so many people don't go to church anymore. Well, there you go, here are the reasons. We must remember that not everyone who goes to church is true Christians. Some people just like people on social media, they only pretend to be. 

So today, my friends, remember your relationship is with God or whoever you believe in. It's not about people or the church or even the pastor. People are human, and they will hurt you. Not everyone has your heart and will do what you will do for others, and when you forget this, you too will be church hurt.
