Not all you pretend to be

It's a crazy world we live in today. Everyone's trying to be something they are not. When you look at social media, everyone's balling, everyone has the perfect life without any problems. So many people aspire to be like them, the perfect house, the perfect spouse, and the perfect life. But we have to know that it's not real. Real life is messy. It hurts, and some days, let's be honest, it down right sucks. 

But we don't see that on social media, we don't see people crying when they have no money to pay their bills because they are fronting to the world. We don't see the screaming and disrespect in those relationships. We don't see the failures and the pain. We only see what they want us to see, and people get the false impression that life is always wonderful as these posts. 

I have never nor will I ever lie to you, I am real, I refuse to sugarcoat shit. I'm not Willy Wonker. I tell you the truth because I want you to have hope, to hold on, to know the bad times will eventually get better. I want you to learn the lessons in those bad times and to have faith to know that this too shall pass.

Look, if we didn't have storms, we wouldn't appreciate the sun. There will always be bad times, but it is how you look at it and how you deal with it that makes you stronger.

I know many people, hell in my own family, for that matter, that let hard times take them out for good. It has made them bitter and angry, it shaped and continues to shape their lives for the worst. They are mad at the world, hating the people who have hurt them even 40 years later. 

They clearly have not learned the lessons. 

So today, my friends remember, while you're out there scrolling through social media, that this is not real life. We are all human, we all have issues, and we all have problems . Not showing the struggle is just lying. Not everyone is what they post. They are.
