I Can't Hold This Grudge Because It Worked Out For My Good
I Can't Hold This Grudge Because It Worked Out For My Good.
In the bible, Joseph was sold as a slave by his brothers. He was sold, and then he was sent to prison. While he was in prison, he started interpreting dreams in prison. They let him out to interpret dreams for the king and then all of a sudden he rises through the ranks. When the brothers see him later on in life, now he's in power but they don't recognize him.
He didn't drag himself through life, he lived through life. He made the best of where he was because of his faith in God.
His brothers didn't see him as a slave, they didn't see him in the pits, they didn't see him in prison they only saw him in power. They begged for his forgiveness, as they were worried that he still held a grudge for what they did.
Joseph didn't do all of this for revenge. Because making it cannot be your revenge. God always has a way of blinding your success from those who hurt you, if that is your fuel.
Living in power does not negate the pain. The power is in the survival. Saying, I am not going to let pain rob me of all that God has for me.
A grudge means that you have not forgiven that person. Forgiving is you letting go of the idea of getting them back. Forgiveness lets you go, it lets go of the hatred, it lets you kill the grudge.
To live without a grudge is to live in forgiveness.
If you forgive others of their sins then your father will forgive yours.
Unforgiveness is like a poison that you are drinking and hoping someone else dies. They are going on with their lives, they are not thinking about you. Only you are holding on to the anger, to the hatred, to that black cloud that surrounds you because of these feelings.
To let go you need to do these things:
1. Trust that God is fully able to provide for your needs.
2. Living by faith each day frees you from worry and stress.
3. Recognize your own forgiveness
4. Pray for the person
5. Focus on the positive
6. Trust in God's justice
So today my friends remember you can do these things, if you can let go, of the anger, and the hatred, you will eventually realize that you can't hold the grudge because it will work out for your good.
