Dating Younger 

So recently I wrote about acting your age and I thought about something someone said to me not too long ago. They asked why I dated younger men. The answer was simple to me, it's not about being a "cougar" it's about having someone who can keep up with me. Many men my age are old. Sorry, I hate to say that but it's true. They have no energy, they don't work out, and they don't even want to leave the couch.  

They have an age mentality, like they are this age so they have to act like that. 

I don't act my age, I am active. I love hiking, zip lining, bike riding, or rollerblading. I want to try new things, and I refuse to act my age. I need someone who has the energy to keep up. And yes, I will say this: I need someone to keep up in the bedroom and out. I am not ready to be put out to pasture and die. I have life left inside of me that I want to live. 

Younger men keep me young and I'm not afraid to say this. Judge all you want but I'll be flying by you in your wheelchair on my bike at 80. Because I refuse to "act my age" 

To me age is just a number, it's a mindset we've been told to abide by. 

Who says it's what we have to do? I refuse to listen to society. I will go screeching to my grave screaming “What a frigging ride!”

So today my friends remember life is too short and we must live it to the fullest. I have lost too many people in the prime of their lives to worry about what others have to say. So many people are being held back by this mindset, by what others say or think and we must learn to do what we want, and with whom we want. Because we only get one life to live so let's live it large and be in charge!
