It’s Not Going To Make A Difference 

So last week while I was having dinner with my neighbor, who by the way is a Trump supporter. We got into a discussion. She said she wasn't happy with what was going on with this administration but what can we do? She went on to say "Just because we post about or when you go to your protests, that isn't going to change the world" 

I thought about what she said and this was my answer. It took one person, Rosa Parks to say enough is enough and started a movement. It took Martin Luther King to start speaking and start protesting to change the world. I told her that when I was converting to Judaism I was made to read many, many books on Hitlers Germany and the holocaust. This is how it started. It was by people that didn't think it could happen, people sitting idly by not saying or doing anything. Or them thinking when it was already in full swing that it wouldn't make a difference what they did or didn't do. And look how that turned out. 

I told her that I am willing to die for my beliefs if that's what it will take. That I will keep speaking up for what is right, that I will be damned if I was not going to be on the right side of history when this thing ends. I will not be one of those Germans that could have done something and didn't, whether my little effort did a lot or not. At least I did something.

And honestly I do believe that one person can start something, because one person turns into two people and so on and so on and so on. This starts a movement and the movement rolls. Just look how many people are protesting each and every day now. Millions of people marched at the last No Kings March, from all over the world. This is great but what gets to me is how many people know what is going on, know that this is wrong and yet are not willing to fight against it. This doesn't just effect me, this effects all of us. We all need to be doing our part.

So today my friends I am here to tell you that governments have and continue to be overturned because the masses come together and fight. Laws are changed because people fight. Hell, Jimmy Kimmel got back on air because millions of people cut off their subscriptions and companies lost billions of dollars. So yes, Virginia there is a Santa clause, and we are him. One person can make a change. I am that one person….so who's going to join me.

Let's all be the change we want to see.
