Natzi Germany Has Just Taken Hold Of Florida 

Welcome to Natzi Germany, my fellow Floridians! 

Florida lawmakers recently passed House Bill 1471 (HB 1471), which establishes a formal process for the state to designate organizations as "Domestic Terrorist organizations. 

They get to pick who “they” think may be a domestic terrorist. There is a lack of oversight and critics, including the ACLU of Florida, argue the bill lacks judicial review and could be weaponized to target advocacy groups and silence political dissent.

A related measure, HB 1473, was also passed to exempt certain information regarding these terrorist designations from public record disclosure. Which means that they don't have to disclose why they think so, just that they do. 

The head of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) can recommend labeling a group a "domestic terrorist organization" if it engages in activities intended to intimidate or coerce a government or civilian population.

Which means Facebook groups, people who protest and join protest groups or any social media you follow, could label you a “domestic terrorist”

The bill also imposes sweeping consequences on those attending Florida’s public colleges and universities. Students determined to have “promoted” a designated organization would face immediate expulsion, loss of in-state tuition classification, and revocation of financial aid eligibility. 

The bill does not clearly define what constitutes “promotion,” raising serious concerns about arbitrary enforcement and the chilling of protected speech.

When the government gives itself authority to designate groups and penalize people based on loosely defined concepts like ‘promotion’ or association, it risks chilling lawful advocacy and civic participation across this state.

In the state of Florida, we no longer have free speech. I can go to jail because I blog and post about my dislike with what this administration is doing. My children can be thrown out of college for voicing their first amendment rights? 

Do you not see what is so wrong with this?? 

Wake the fuck up people! This is about all of our free speech and this won't just be in Florida, trust and believe this is going to go across the county now that this racist, ass backwards state did it. 

So today my friends I guess I will be going to jail. Just so you know I am not planning to kill myself so if something happens to me it wasn't me! 

I will continue to speak out.

I will continue to be a voice for those who have none. I will be out there protesting until my final breath because we all need to stand up and speak out to be the change we want to see.
