You never know what you have until it's gone

Sometimes we are so caught up in life that we don't appreciate what we have. We are so busy trying to get through our day, trying to acquire more stuff, trying to keep up appearances that we lose track of what is most important, what is right under our noses.

We are a society of the grass is always greener on the other side, they must be happy look at their lives.
I want that, I want their lives..mine isn't have that good... or so it seems.

You want that high paying job with the big corner office...but they are working 70 hours a week, they have no life, their kids are growing up with out a parent.

You want that big house with the fancy lifestyle...but you don't see her crying herself to sleep every night because of all the hateful words he calls her day after day.

You want to be single, you see all of your friends having a ball, your spouse is boring, you hold on to things from the past, there has to be a better more exciting life than this, you think....yet you don't realize that all your friends wish for is a good and loyal man. That it isn't all its cracked up to be out there, the dating game has changed and not for the better.

You see her always smiling, you think she is always blessed yet you'll never know all the pain she has suffered, all the tears she has cried, all that she is truly grateful for to get to this point.

See what most people don't realize is that it's a beautifully painted screen, the world puts up for you to see...but they don't want you to see what's really behind that screen.

It's like that scene from The wizard of Oz when the great Oz is behind the screen and everyone one thinks he mighty and powerful and has all the answers until they pull back the screen and find out the truth... he is not who he seemed to be...that they had it in themselves all the time....and then Dorothy realizes the most important lesson, that there's no place like home.

Sometimes the best is right under your nose and your so busy trying to look for better you miss it.

So today my friends, remember life is not always what it seems. Be grateful for what you have, be present in every moment, know that that grass may seem greener but it may actually be fake astrotuff.
And that one man's trash may be another man's treasure, it's never what it appears to be...and you'll never know what you had until it is gone.

" Be the change you want to see"

"And just when the caterpillar thought his life was over...he turned into a beautiful butterfly"
