God is in control

We worry about everything, we lose sleep, we stress about things we cannot control, we forgot that God is in control of everything.
We forgot that he has this, that he controls it all.

So we think, why does God allow bad things to happen? God knows exactly what he's doing and what is going on.

The bible talks of this evil, it talks about this season,  but everything has a season, if you have faith, you must hold on, you know this is just a season, you must remember that all good things come to those who wait.

We have to remember and it's something that I say all the time, it is my bible verse that seems to come up a lot, especially when I need to hear it, Romans 8.28... all things are working for our good, according to our purpose.

Nothing remains the same, everything has a season, but we panic and we think where is God? Is he there when we need him? We stop believing when we panic, we see things through the human eye, things that look too big for us to take of, too frightening.

But everything has an expiration date, everything! Nothing last forever, when the storms come, eventually the sun comes out again. When the winter is harsh, the spring will soon be on its way, when bad times are here, sooner or later, the good times will come...it is but just a season...

I can remember as clear as day when I was going through my divorce, I  couldn't eat, I didn't sleep, my hair fell out, I couldn't breathe, to the point I thought I was having a heart attack, after a trip to the emergency room and thousands of dollars in Doctors bills turns out it was.... drum roll please....yup stress!

It was then I realized that no matter how much I was stressing myself out, it didn't effect the outcome. So why do it?  It was then I gave it to God and I let him worry. I no longer worry about anything and I mean nothing, why should I? It only effects me and my mental and physical health.

We are not God and we should not take over Gods job, it's our job to believe, to have faith, that is all.

We must remember the events of the past...that for 200 years blacks were slaves but now there is a black president. A hundred years ago women couldn't vote, now not only can we vote but we might actually have a women president.
400 years ago, the Israelites were slaves but God told them to hold on here was going to make them the chosen people and he did...not on their time but on his...his time...we just need to hold on.

My mothers favorite saying was "This too shall pass..." this has gotten me through many dark nights. Mine is "Pray and let God worry" both are telling you who is in control and not to worry.

If you want to do something, if you want change, we have to be the light for others to see...we have to rise above the hatred, to love one another, to know Jesus is the answer, we have to have faith, to believe, to let go of worry and stress, we have know that God is in control and that for everything there is a season..

It is not for us to judge...every man will be judged by his righteous....how do you want to be judged? When the day comes and you stand in front of God and he asks "What have you done with your life? How did you treat others?"
I know I want his next words to me to be "Well done, my child, well done"

So today my friends, I leave you with this bible verse that sums it all up....

A time to be born, a time to die....
A time to kill and a time to heal...
A time to mourn and a time to dance...
A time to weep and a time to laugh...
A time to tear and a time to mend...
A time to love and a time to hate...
A time for war and a time for peace...

All of these are on God's time...trust him...believe.. God is in control.
