Standing On The Right Side Of History 

We are living through some rough times right now. The world as we know it has been turned upside down. Now many of us saw this coming, and many of us tried to warn you but our pleas fell on deaf ears. I am a journalist, a writer, and an author. I live my life on the rights of freedom of speech. I get to write about everything and anything I want to. No one can stop me from writing about what I feel. Now you can block me, delete me, or stop following me and that's okay because, at the end of the day, I will still write and speak about what I want to and what I am passionate about. 

When we look back at this time in the history books I want to know I was on the right side of history. The side of human decency, compassion, and love for my neighbors no matter their religion, their color, or their sexual orientation. I want to be taken home knowing I stood up and spoke out for those less privileged than I am in this fucked up world.

Now look don't get it twisted I think the government needs an overhaul, I believe they are wasting billions of dollars. I believe there are some messed up government officials on both sides. I know that something needs to change and I am all for that.  What I am not for is cutting lunches for poor children, some who that is the only hot meals they get. I don't believe that social security which we paid into our whole lives out of the money that we earned is a Ponzi scheme. The only Ponzi scheme is we should be making way more from them 

holding our money for 78 years without us earning and keeping the interest.

I think we should have free health care and free schooling like every other country in the world. I believe that Veterans earned the right to get benefits, and way more than they do because they fought for our freedoms. I believe our government needs an overhaul but not at the expense of the poor, the elderly, or any other minority. 

So today my friends I am here to say I will not be backing down. I will keep speaking out against what is going on in this country. I will write about it, I will go to my town hall meetings, I will post about the injustice, and I will keep speaking out because, at the end of the day, I will be standing on the right side of history. I will be proud to tell my children and my grandchildren that I stood up for what was right. I fought to make change and to speak out for those who weren't as privileged as I was. I will not be silenced.
