The Do's And Don'ts Of Online Dating

Okay, since I've been dating, there are so many things I have seen out there that are such a turn-off. These are the things that me and my friend laugh about every morning.

This is just from a woman's perspective, you men can chime in with what we do to turn you off, but I can only speak from what I see and what I know about online dating.

1. I don't need to see what you looked like 30 years ago.

Most likely you looked better then. Hell, we all looked better then, so who cares?

2. I don't mind seeing a cute picture of you and your dog, cat, or other animal. But 10 pictures? Whose profile is this? Am I dating them or you?

3. I don't need to see pictures of your boat, car, house, or motorcycle. I am not impressed. And then you have the nerve to call us gold diggers.

4. If you don't say anything in your profile about yourself, I keep going. I want to be drawn in, if you're funny let it show, if you're romantic put it down, tell me about yourself, otherwise I think you're boring and I go, next! 

5. Please take close-up and full-body shots.

Look we all have our types and that's all right but for God's sake put up more than one picture.

I went on a date and walked around for 15 minutes looking for him because he looked nothing like his one picture.

6. If you reach out to me, please don't call me baby, honey, sweetie, or sexy. You don't even know me, it's offensive and right there, it gets you to the door, next!

7 . Don't say things through texts or emails that you would never have the balls to say in person! Really! Nough said.

8. Do you know how to read? Please read our whole profiles.

I am guessing that most don't know how to read because if you did, you would have read that I am not looking to hook up. So don't ask, don't send me a picture of your ass or any other body part! News flash dick pics are not sexy! Yuck! What part of not looking to hook up don't you get? 

9. Don't keep asking me to send you pictures. Most of us put up plenty of pictures on our profiles. I have at least 6 with close ups and full body pics. How many do you need to see? Ask me out, and see the real thing!

10. And last but definitely not least, be a gentleman. 

Yes, we still like that. Open doors, pull out chairs, at least offer to buy us a cup of coffee (Yes, this actually happened, he didn't even offer!) Don't talk about what bitches your ex was,(There are always two sides to every story) 

Be yourself for God's sake it's a date, we're not getting married, just have fun.

Yes, dating has been a trip but even though I haven't found a love connection yet, I have met some really great guys that are now my friends. And I still have hope that I will find the “one”

And please, gentlemen, send me your thoughts on your perspective of women and what we need to change. I will gladly write another blog on that.

Have fun dating, meet new people, and if nothing else have something to laugh about with your bestie in the morning or like me blog about afterwards.
