People Don't Care If Others Starve To Death 

I know you think the liberals are just saying stuff. You, say this would never happen, but they still haven't fixed this snap issue and Thanksgiving is coming fast. Yet I've seen so many horrible people online who clearly have never needed any kind of help, who decided to put their minus two cents in and speak out about it. They say “these people” should get another job or they shouldn't be allowed to buy snacks with their snap benefits. Really Karen? Good for you that you've never needed assistance but maybe that's because you weren't poor, or you weren't in an abusive relationship and now you're raising children on your own. Maybe you never have gotten sick, lost your job or got hurt and can't work and your disability payments can barely cover the rent. Maybe Karen, they are veterans and suffer from PTSD and are too fucked up from defending your stupid ass and your freedoms to say dumb shit like this. 

But in case you don't believe me, here are the facts:

Children: About 39% of all SNAP participants were children in fiscal year 2023.

Older adults: About 19% of participants were age 60 or older in fiscal year 2023.

Working families: Over 55% of families with children that receive SNAP benefits include at least one working adult. So that means even though they are working they still can't afford food. Wow, are we great yet?

People with disabilities: About 1 in 5 non-elderly adults with SNAP benefits have a disability.

Elderly or disabled households: More than 37% of all SNAP participants are in households with an elderly member or a disabled nonelderly member.

Abled-bodied adults without children: Less than 10% of all people receiving SNAP are able-bodied adults between 19 and 49 without children. 

But wait Karen it gets better:

37% White

26% African American, and 16% Hispanic. 

37% are your relatives Karen!! Not immigrants, but WHITE people. Ha, imagine that?

But really, let's be honest, we know you don't care if children go to school hungry and why would you care if they didn't get a Thanksgiving meal with their families as long as you're having one. How very frigging Christian of you.

And while we are at it, let me ask you something, do your kids get snacks when they come home or desert after dinner. I am sure the hell going to bet they do. But you are going to say others shouldn't have that treat if they are getting snap? Wow…we see you…we see all of you who are saying things like this.

You're not Christian, please don't insult the religion by saying that. Or maybe you're reading your 19.99 Trump version of the bible that doesn't have in it, to feed the hungry, take in the refugees, or love thy neighbor. Yeah, he probably took that out because it doesn't benefit him or people like you.

So today Karen, how about you mind your own business and not worry what people on snap benefits do with the measly money they get every month. How about you have some kind of human compassion that the richest country in the world has people who go to bed hungry. But we know that people like you don't care if others go hungry. 

Why don't we all try to be the change we want to see.
