There Is Hope…

I am crying tears of joy today. A few weeks ago I felt hopeless. I felt so much hatred in the world, I lost hope in humanity and I was truly depressed. I did a video where I actually cried because I felt so much pain. So many people have seemed to have lost their compassion for other human beings. There is so much hatred and division among our country that you can't help but be depressed. But Sunday when I came to church, I saw so many young people coming to church, and joining our church. They are wanting to learn the word of God, wanting to change the word with kindness and compassion. This is the next generation and this gave me hope for the future.  

Also when I went and protested at the last No Kings Day, I stood side by side with all kinds of people. Black, white, brown, straight, LGBTQ, old, young, all coming together in one accord. 

11 million Americans came together from all across our country and protested. And many other countries protested on our behalf, showing their support for us.

All of this gave me hope. That we can come together. That love can conquer hate. That good will win over evil. That if we all work together, we can make a difference.

That if we can see things from others point of view, and walk in their shoes, then we can learn compassion. When we see that we are all human beings, with feelings that we all feel, and that we all bleed red, change is possible. We need to show the world that we care. 

That it doesn't matter that we are different. 

That we will all stand together. 

That change is possible but only when we all come together. 

So today my friends if you've been feeling like I was lately, sad and hopeless, I am here to tell you not to give up. There is hope, change can come. But it can only come if we can all be the change we want to see. We all need to do something to make a change, it is possible, there is hope.
