Nothing in life has a meaning except the meaning I give it

All upset is based on a meaning. All hurt is based on a meaning, a meaning you give it.
Nothing in life has any meaning except the meaning I give it.
It is the label that we put on our experiences that becomes our feelings.

All pain is a feeling of loss but only if you perceive it as a loss.
We have perceptions
on how people should be and if they are not that way, your way...then you are upset.

This was a huge lesson for me to learn, that not everyone has my heart. I thought because I would do this or that, that others should do it too. That's not the way it works, there are so many personalities and we are all different, we think differently.

So if this is the case then you have two choices, either you can get upset that they aren't like you or you can realize not everyone has your heart and move on.

See nothing in the universe disappears, it just transforms into a higher level. You transform into higher levels when you get the lessons the universe is trying to teach you. Or you can stay stuck in the mentality that life is happening to you and not for you.

You can lose love, you can lost respect but what you can't lose is what's inside of you.
Love is not something you can lose if you have it inside of yourself.
You must know your boundaries, you must know your self worth, you must know when to cut your losses but it all starts by loving yourself first.

When someone says something to you and it makes you feel disrespected or you took it a different way (Trust and believe I raise my hand to this one a lot!)
It's all about the fact that you have an expectation that wasn't met. You expect the outcome to be different and because it didn't end up your way, now your upset.
How can you expect that? How can you lose out on something you never even had? Except in your mind.

You feel lost, you feel hurt by what you thought they had said or what you thought they should do.
This is all on you, your expectations of others, your outcome of situations.

Better to learn earlier on that people are not going to do what you want them too, not even your own children. I told my children all their lives to dance to the beat of their own drummers. Now I can't be mad because I am not thrilled about a lot of tattoos on such beautiful girls but I taught them to be their own persons. How can I be mad that they now are? I have to love them tattoos and all because they are doing them just as I taught them and I have to do me. I have to except that and move on.

There are so many lessons I've learned in the last 7 years, more then in my whole life and it's because I am open to see them.

And this is a big one, this was a hard lesson that I had to repeat over and over because I couldn't get it right for a long time.
So today my friends remember this lesson, don't keep hurting yourself because of what you think others should do or be... because the bottom line is nothing in life has a meaning unless you give it one.
