The Exalted Christ

Palm Sunday is the day Jesus came into Jerusalem.
Jesus told his disciples to go into the village and get the donkey's.
As he and the disciples were going out to spread his father's word.
Palm Sunday is all about the pulling of people from the life of sin to the life of exalted. To bring people to the life of Christ.

Jesus knew that people would question him and his disciples just as people will question you. They will question your faith. They will ask why do you go to church? Why do you tithe? Why do you Volunteer? You need to tell them it's because your actively engaged in evangelism.
There will be a lot of questions and you must be ready to give an answer. You must point them to Jesus.
God wants you to go into the world with the message of his son Jesus Christ.

Somehow we have lost the message of evangelism, we want to know what we are getting. In today's society we want to know what blessings am I getting? What are you going to do to make me happy?

Jesus wanted us to exalt him and him alone. We are not just lifting up the messenger but our own message we want to hear.

Today is the start of  Palm Sunday, which goes into good Friday and ends at  Resurrection Sunday. But do we understand the importance of what these days mean?

Who are you exalting? What are we talking about?
See the true gospel bore Christians to death, we only want to hear about our blessings, whats in it for us and not what this is actually about which is telling others of Jesus.

We have a duty to be the voice of God, to perform the tasks of being the gospel of Christ. We should  sing praises of his name, to bring others into our faith.

There are 4 things to speak of that we must remember:

1. There is a great day coming of the gathering of God's people who have been converted to the faith.

2. People are making a lot of excuses to why they are unable to serve God.

3. These who reject Christ, are the most ungrateful who will foget God.

4. Not all invitations should be ignored.

We need to remember these things as these are the teachings of Christ.

Here's the thing, you prayed for that car, you fasted, you wanted it so bad and yet when you got it you forgot who gave it to you. Yet now you dont drive it to church anymore.

When you were single and you were so desperate to find a spouse, yet when you got one you forget to bring them to church... you forgot the nights you cried out to God for this person.
We give so many gave excuses when it comes to Jesus.

God has said over and over that we are the light of God, that we are to bring other's to Jesus.

This is the start of the holiest season for us and we are here to tell others of the God we serve.

So today my friends remember Jesus went out to preach his father's word and taught us that we must do the same.
Today go out and spread God's word as we are Jesus disciples in today's world.
