Believing in signs

Believing in signs

I know for many this is a controversial topic but hey, if you follow me or know me you know I am not afraid to touch on every subject, this one included. I happen to be a big believer in signs. There is so much more going on around us that we have no clue about.
I believe in life after death, in your loved one sending signs after they pass and look if that's not what you believe in that's fine, we all are different for a reason.

For me, these signs are comforting. They make me believe that our loved ones are still with us. Letting us know that a part of them is still here guiding you. I remember last summer going antique shopping with a dear friend. We walked into this basement store, and the first thing I saw was a blanket with all these butterflies on it, which reminded me of my mother. Then we saw all these jars with all different screws in them. I said to my friend this reminds me of my basement because my stepfather used to do this as well.
As soon as I said this, all the lights in the store started blinking on and off for a good 3 minutes, and we looked at each other and started laughing that my dad was here. As soon as we got into the car and started talking about it, a yellow butterfly fly passed our windshield, and he said, "Look, there's your mom confirming it." Yellow butterflies are to me, symbolic to my mom.

This weekend on our girls' trip, we were sitting on the patio talking about my mom and dad when all of a sudden, the lights started to flicker on and off. We laughed and said there's my dad again. The light, which was dim the whole time, came on as bright as can be as soon as we said it. Now the naysayers will say there was something wrong with the light switch or that's just a coincidence, and it's fine. Believe what you want, but to me, that was a sign from my dad.

Who says our loved ones aren't with us after they pass? And what does it matter as long as it gives you peace about their passing. Who are we to say there is no life after death? When so many people who have died and came back say they see and speak to their loved ones in that state.

So today, my friends, I'm not here to convince you of thinking one way or another. I am here telling you what signs mean to me and to many other people. It gives me a sense of peace knowing that my loved ones are still around and giving us signs to let us know that they are close, and for me, that's enough.
To all my loved ones who are gone too soon, know that we are listening, we miss you, and thanks for the signs.
