Will we ever have world peace?
Will we ever have world peace?
This is a question I ask all the time. I am a parent, and if you are too, I know that you are worried about the world we are leaving our children.
There have been 2 major world wars and quite a few others. There are now 32 conflicts going on around the world as we speak. There are millions of people who died in these situations, and many innocent people are included in these numbers.
So why is it so hard to love one another? Why can't we live in peace? Why must one set of people think they are superior to another? We all bleed red, we all have family and loved ones that we care about, we are all God's children or children of the universe or whatever you believe in, so why is it so hard to get along?
We have seen women getting raped, killing unborn babies, and cutting them out of the stomachs of women while they are forced to watch. We have seen families killed just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. This is sickening, and these people who are doing this and then posting it on social media are sick.
These are not human beings because no sane human being could do this. This is not about who owns a piece of land. These are terrorists plain and simple. They don't care about human life, this is a game to show the world what they will do if we don't bow down to them. But the world needs to speak up for these injustices, this cannot continue. If we allow them to get away with this, who will they come after next?
We need to know that if we stand together, if we speak up for one group, we are speaking for all.
So today, my friends, I am here begging for all of us to choose peace. To choose to love one another no matter what the color of your skin, your religion, or your sexual preferences are. We are all the same inside, and we all want freedom and to not fear for our families. We want to live in peace, and we want to leave this place better than we came into it.
We can all be the change we want to see.
