It Takes 21 Days To Change
Experts say all it takes is 21 days to change something in your life. That's it, just 21 days to change!
You can make something a habit if you do it constantly for 21 days or you can also break a habit if you do it for that long.
You hear about rehab programs all the time, they have 21-day programs to retrain your brain to live without drugs and alcohol. You can get over a person in 21 days if you retrain your brain. You can change your attitude, become more positive and you can even learn a new hobby in just 21 days.
You can change the way you think about eating, about exercise, about yourself, about a relationship, about anything you want to change. All you need is commitment and in just 21 days, that's only 3 weeks. You will have a new attitude, a new healthy habit, and a new outlook on your life.
Look, I get it, change is hard and it's scary but if you stay stuck you'll never grow. I stood in a horrible marriage for 24 years because of fear, so I get being scared. Fear kept me stuck. But I have to tell you that if I had known how happy I would be I would have left years before. It's terrible that you'll stay stagnant in a horrible relationship or a job you hate out of fear. You'll never get ahead or into a better situation because you are afraid. You stayed in that crappy situation for how long already? Don't let 24 years go by like I did. And honestly, what's 3 weeks? It's a blink of an eye in life, why not try something new?
So today my friends, I am here to tell you that you are never too old to learn something new. You are never too old to change your life. And if you say I don't have the time well, I am going to call you out. Did you know that statistics say people watch 3-7 years of their lives watching television, but you don't have 30 minutes a day to exercise or 21 days to change your life?
Stop making excuses.... I'm too old, too heavy, no energy, no time, too busy... Insert your bullshit story here. You need to start making time for you and who you want to be, the best you can be.
As I always say at the end of every blog, it's up to you, you are the change you want to see. Make the decision, not the excuse!
