What's Wrong Is Always Available 

So I heard this recently and thought I have to write about this because it is so profound. It's true, what's wrong is always available, unless you decide to look for another option. Growing up with the most negative grandmother, I saw first hand how someone can just look at all the negatives. 

I chose to never be like her. I will always look at the glass half filled. I look for the positive in all situations because even though there are so many crappy things that can happen in your life, I chose to walk through the storms being grateful for what I do have. Yes, I could say why me, or be mad or negative but what is that going to get me? Nothing except for eating myself up inside. 

I have seen first hand what hatred and unforgiveness can do to you. It tears you up, it owns you and your emotions, so I gave that up years ago. 

I choose to be grateful. 

I choose to be positive.

I choose to be filled with joy.

This is a choice I make each and every day.

We all have choices, it's up to us to decide which way we want to go. Trust me, my life was a mess. At 15 I lost my dad, my mom had cancer, I was raped and had to endure a horrible abortion. I ended up an addict because we didn't have any sort of therapy back then and was told to deal with it and my way was doing drugs to forget the pain. Then I ended up in an abusive marriage for years. Now yes, I could have been bitter and angry. I could have been negative or walked around blaming others for what happened to me. I could have chosen what was wrong but I chose not to. I chose to forgive. I chose to change, to get help, to rebuild my life. To put my testimony out there to help others. This is my choice.

So today my friends remember we all have a choice. There is always wrong available, if you want to choose that. That is easy to find. But choosing what's right, changing your ways, is not always easy but it will change your life.

We can all be the change we want to see.
