Why Are People Trying To Take Us Back To The 50's

I just read that a teacher in Florida, of course it's in Florida, one of the most backwards states there are. A Florida teacher may be fired for allowing her class to watch the PG Disney movie The Strange World. Seems like some parents and school board members are saying she is trying to promote the LGBTQ lifestyle to her class.

Seriously people get a life. This has gone too far especially in the ass backwards state of Florida. Yes, I can say this because unfortunately I live here. And for the trolls who will say so move, I would move but my girls are here in college, so for now I am stuck.

The country is on a rampage to put all of the LGBTQ community back in the closet. To say they are trying to "make our children become like them" 

Look, it's obvious you don't know any people in the LGBTQ community because if you did you would know what a life they have to lead in order to be true to who they are. 

They've been beaten, they've been called names their entire lives, and they've been made fun of. Many of them didn't have the freedoms that they do today and had to hide who they were for years. They've been murdered just because they love someone different. They wouldn't be allowed to be at the deathbeds of loved ones and had no rights whatsoever in their significant others' care.

Why would they wish that on anyone? They don't care if your children are straight, they only care that if your child identifies with the LGBTQ community that they are free to do so like so many of them weren't.

Omg! What a concept? Free to choose to be who you are? To love freely? To be able to speak your peace? To not be afraid? Wasn't that the motto of the United States once upon a time? Yeah, but not anymore.

Now it seems like the only thing on the government's ballet is to take away our rights. Women's rights, Black rights, LGBTQ rights,they definitely dont want any immigrants to have right not even due process which is supposed to be a right for everyone in the United States of America. But not anymore, any rights that they don't agree with, they are just going to erase them. Pretty soon we will no longer have any rights, oh wait, no, we will always have gun rights because the gun companies will continue to pay off our so called government leaders. Yes, welcome to the new version of the United States of America. No more freedoms for all, just freedoms for the rich and powerful.

So today my friends, I am here to say that if we do not stand up for all rights then one day your rights will be taken away and who will stand up for you?

This has gone too far, what happened to live and let live? Love one another? Freedom of speech and the rights our forefathers wrote about?

Do us all a favor and worry about your own house, stop minding everyone's else's business. We are still, for this moment, a free country, let people be who they are, free to be.

Let's all speak up for the change you want to see.
