Being Christian In Today's World 

I know for me this is tough, especially with all that is going on in this world. I can't imagine why so many Christians aren't speaking out about what's happening.

Children are being dragged away from parents and they are being sent to for profit, concentration camps.

This administration is hiding pedophiles who have traffic, raped, sexual assaulted and killed our children.

Where are the WWJD bracelets you so proudly wear? Is that only for show? So what would Jesus do? What did he say about opening up and taking in the immigrants? Tell me, is that not in your 19.99 Trump version of your bible?

What about children who only eat one hot meal or one meal a day in school and now that is being cut? Do you not care about starving children?

No, you only care about unborn children but when they get here you don't give a shit about what happens to them. What? Is that not Christian enough for you? Sorry, not sorry. I am honest and maybe I hit a damn nerve and maybe I should. 

Where is love thy neighbor? Didn't Jesus say that? Not turn in your neighbors or only like and respect the ones that have your skin color

How very “Christian” of you.

Why aren't you flipping tables when they are only using his name to benefit themselves? Why aren't you helping poor mothers who work 60 hours a week and still can't afford to feed their kids? Isn't that what Jesus would do? 

Oh, but you're not a real Christian, you're only a Christian when it suits you. I get it. 

And yes, you can come at me all you want because I always say that I am far from perfect. I am a Christian but I stumble a lot but I am not a hypocrite, I know that I have plenty of work to do. I follow Jesus's word, I love and help my neighbors, I help the poor, I give to others, I try to do all that Jesus taught me. Here's the thing that you holier than thou crowd don't seem to get. Jesus picked the sinners, the liars, the prostitute, the unclean, the immigrants; these were his people, not you holier than thou people, and certainly not the priests. 

So today my friends, and haters, you can come at me. I'm okay knowing that I am in good company. I may not ever be perfect but I am following Jesus's word. I am not turning my back on people. I am loving my neighbors, and I speak out about people who don't have a voice. I just don't say I am a Christian, I live it every day. 

So ask yourself what does it mean to you to be Christian in today's world? Are you really following Jesus's word? Or are you following your 19.99 Trump version of the bible? Ask yourself WWJD? And be honest with your answer.
