Not Only Did I Walk Through Fire....I Walked On Fire!

Not only did I walk through fire....I walked on fire! 

For me walking on fire was not just literal it had deeper meaning. I walked through fire all through my life. I hit rock bottom not once but twice. I lost way too many loved ones, I was raped, I was a drug addict, I tried to commit suicide twice, and I spent years in a abusive marriage then years chasing after narcissist controlling men just like my ex husband. So I know what fire feels like. 

I did this because I wanted others to know that if I can do it, they can do it. If I could walk through fire then I could walk on it. 

I remembered in the bible the story of the 3 men of God who were thrown into the fire. They believed in God and were ready to die for what they believed in. When they opened the door 

“they saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them”

(Daniel 3:27, NIV)

"No Smell of Smoke"

In the book of Daniel, when three Hebrew teenagers wouldn’t bow to the king’s golden idol, they were thrown into a fiery furnace. To just survive would have been a great miracle, but notice how today’s Scripture describes how God works. When He restores, there’s no sign of the fire you’ve been through—the trouble, the injustice, the bad break—not even the smell of smoke.

Isaiah 43:2 says, “When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. The flames will not harm you.” We all go through the fire—things that are unfair, things we don’t understand. In the fire, you have to remind yourself, 

“These people are not going to harm me. This challenge is not going to keep me from my dreams. This sickness is not going to stop my purpose.” You’re going to come out without the smell of smoke. Things are changing in your favor right now—healing, vindication, promotion, and breakthroughs are on the way.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for Your promise to be with me through the fire and flames. Even when life doesn’t make sense, I choose to trust in you and believe that you are working behind the scenes for my good. I believe I will come through without the smell of smoke. In Jesus’ Name, Amen”

So today my friends remember if you are walking through the fire now just believe that you will come through it. You will be so strong that you will be able to not only walk through it but to even walk on fire! 

I am living proof of that.
