Why will an ex hit you up at midnight?

This is funny to me as it always seems to happen. Recently an ex hit me up at midnight.Well first of all that tells you a few things.

1. He's drunk
Or
2. He's horny

Come on let's be real here people, if that's the only time your ex is hitting you up, trust and believe it's for one of those two reasons.

He's not thinking of you in the middle of the day and hitting you up, it's always those late night hours. Hell they even write songs about it.

Come on we've all been there but here's the thing, ask yourself this, is it only when someone else is stepping up?
Is it to honestly try to make things work? Or is it just because he is drunk and horny?

There have been times that yes, your drunk and you realized you made a mistake and want to get back together with that person, we've all been there, the alcohol gives you some courage to say things you may not have been able to say straight.

And yes, maybe they are just horny and remember how good it was with you, so what the hell, let's hit it again for old times sake.

Then there are the ex's that see you happy, see someone else who is stepping up and for what ever sick and twisted reasons they decide they are going to hit you up, maybe to try to get some one last time. Or to show you what you are going to miss or just as a narcissist to try to feel like a man getting over on another man.
Who knows but these are their own issues.

It's funny because the last time I told him I was done he proceeded to tell me I was a bitter, mean and angry old lady...
Ha! Funny how I am friends with all my ex's who don't feel that way...hey but everyone has an opinion, remember the old saying...yeah assholes..

As I said to him before and this time as well, I don't care, I am done.
Done with the fights, done with the name calling when he feels some kind of way, done with the back and forth, done with his selfish ways in the bedroom and out just done...DONE.

When a women is done, there is nothing you can do to change her mind. She is done, finished, out of there. You can cry, beg, promise, swear it doesn't matter there is no coming back from done.

See I now know what it feels like to have been loved by a real man, a man who would give his life for mine. A man who loved me, treated me like a queen and showed it every day in many ways. A man who put my needs over his and loved me no matter what.
I now know I will never settle again, for the once in a while texts, for being second on someone's list, for selfishness, for ghosting and bullshit about needing "time"
I've known the love of a man that is stepping up...now, who doesn't need time, that is there when I needed him, constantly telling me he loves me.
This is what I am worthy of and deserve and even though it took me a while to figure it out, I finally got it.

So to all the women out here getting these late night calls, ask yourself what does he really want and then ask the most important questions what are you worth? Definitely more than a late night call.
