All that I am thankful for
All that I am thankful for
I hope that everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving day with their family and friends. Me and my girls decided to take off and not do a traditional Thanksgiving this year so we are in beautiful Costa Rica as I am writing this. It is our annual family trip that we all look forward to all year. We wanted to do nothing but chill, go hiking, go four wheeling and hang on the beach as we all wanted some much needed rest.
I am lucky enough to spend time with my girls and that they still want to spend this time with me, all week long.
This time off gave me a lot of time to reflect over my life this past year and the things I am truly grateful for, so here they are.
I am truly thankful for God, for without him none of this would be possible. I know his grace and mercy over my life has kept me, even though at times I know I didn't deserve it.
I am thankful for my girls, as much as they sometimes piss me off, they are good girls, with big hearts and they are what I live for, they are my heart and soul and I am so proud of the women they have become.
I am thankful for my church, my Bishop and my church family. God knew what he was doing when he sent me there, as they have literally saved my life. They have been there for me whenever I needed anything and they support and love me no matter what. For me his word, from this man is what keeps me going.
I am thankful for my friends and my family, as I am blessed to have an amazing support system around me. I know I can count on them and they can count on me in good times and bad. I know that I can truly be me and they will love me no matter what.
I am thankful God's favor over my life, our health and all that I have. I am thankful he gave me this business, this home and that he continues to place favor all over our lives.
I am thankful for the lessons God has taught me this year, even though some of them were so painful, I know I had to learn them. I had to learn that not everyone comes for the whole ride, that not everyone has your back, that even your guardian angel can fall from Grace but you must be willing to forgive and know that everyone makes mistakes. I learned not to judge, who am I to judge? I did enough messed up things in my life, so I forgave and moved on.
I am thankful for the friends that stood up for me and always have my back, teaching me that yes, I can count on them. Especially my cousin Carol who is my heart and soul, she is the sister I never had and I know she always is there for me, having my back.
I am thankful for the pain I've had in the past. falling in love with the wrong men, over and over. it's taught me what I deserve and when the Prince came, I knew what a good man looked like, even though it may have not been forever, he taught me to love myself, to know my worth and to know how a real man is supposed to treat me and for that I am eternally grateful.
I am thankful for all the hard work I've done because it makes me know my strength and it makes me appreciate all I have that much more.
I am thankful for the storms, the dark moments that tested my faith because without them I wouldn't know my strength, my commitment to God and my faith. Even though the storms were sometimes bad and really painful, I learned to hold on even to a tiny mustard seed size of faith and to know that God has me and he will pull me through just like he always has.
I am thankful for learning to live in the moment, leaving the dishes, enjoying time I could never get back with the people I love.
I am thankful for letting go of fear, for stepping into the unknown and doing things I might not have done otherwise...life changing things, like walking on fire!
And I am truly thankful for the gift of gratitude, I am so very grateful for everything I have in my life, there is not a day that goes by that I am not overwhelmed by all I have. The peace, joy, and gratefulness, I now have in my life, is so overwhelming that it bring me to tears constantly.
So today my friends, remember all that you have, be grateful and thankful for it, not just on Thanksgiving but throughout the year because life is too short and you never know what can happen tomorrow...live in the moment...laugh often, love big...live life large and forever be grateful.
"Be the change you want to see"
"And just when the caterpillar thought his life over...he turned into a beautiful butterfly"
