Let the mudslinging begin

I shake my head some days and recently I have been doing it so much that I've made myself dizzy.

Yes, it's election time again, time for all the mud slinging, for commercial after commercial to put each other down and the final Wtf...the debates. Yes..time for the politicians to shine, showing what dirtbags they truly are.

I am not here to share my political views or to sway you one way or another. I remember what I learned in school, opinions are like assholes everyone has one.

I could care less of you being a Democrat or a Republican only that you act like a human being.

What is going on? That people are fighting with each other over politics all over social media, even calling each other names and deleting each other....well, look at the candidates, they are doing the same things.

Great job America let's all get down in the mud together, let's show the rest of the world how we as a nation,have lost all of our human decency.

Not that they couldn't see it already when looking at the joke we have running our country, or how we are killing innocent black men everyday. When we want to throw out people who are different from us, or when we are not tolerant of others sexual orientation, religion or any other views other than our own.

No, we make ourselves look bad every single day, but at this time of year, it just puts the icing on the cake.

I'm not saying one candidate is better than another, okay we can definitely see that for ourselves, but what I am saying is the world is getting less tolerable, do we really want another 4 more years with a leader who is the most intolerable?

We are supposed to be here to love one another, no matter what race, religion or sexual orientation you are, not call names and put people down.

We spend hundreds of years trying to tear down the wall in Germany now we want to build more walls? Which by the way is still not done and Mexico definitely didn't pay for it, you and I did. Yes, this is what's happening In the land of the free, how sad is that?

Where is the famous quote on our symbol of welcoming,The Statue of Liberty.

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free”

We might as well throw it out as we no longer want "these" people anymore. Because it's  certainly not the president's agenda to bring our country together. No, we are no longer that country anymore.

Why can't we talk about the real issues like the pandemic and how we all are suffering. People without jobs, who are losing their homes. What about the hundreds of thousands already homeless families, or the fact that unless you're rich, you can't afford to go to college and if you do you will owe until your 40 and then still not find a job.

How about single moms struggling without child support or people struggling on minimum wage? What about millions of people without health insurance? What about our veterans and the lack of services for them after they served our country?

How about the shootings of innocent black men everyday, or the fact that our country is divided by hate and race.

Hello! These are the real issues affecting most of us that live in this country. How about taking care of your own first, how about bringing together people to help each other? How about not padding the politicians and big companies pockets and actually helping the working class which makes up most of this country.

Let's talk about the real issues and what you're really going to do about it. Let's hear a plan, not lip service, not mudslinging, do something useful instead of leading us as bad examples.

So today my friends, remember what is the most important in this election year...love, tolerance and a way to make this country "great again" because it sure as hell hasn't been great the last 4 years. In fact it has torn us apart and we are bleeding to death, we need a change. And as I always say at the end of each blog and it's never more true than now...
