So much for 2021 being different, here comes yet another shit show

Well, we had a few days of peace starting off this year, we all had high hopes for a better year than the horrible year we just had in 2020.

But no such luck and unless you live under a rock you saw the shit show that happened on our capitol steps last week because  #45 tweeted to his brainless thugs to storm the capital.

Trump, who has repeatedly and falsely said the election was rigged and stolen, also said:

"We will never give up, We will never concede." 

Trump lost the popular vote by some 7 million and the electoral vote by essentially the same margin he won the 2016 election, which he termed a "landslide. He went on to say:

“If you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore,” Trump had told the crowd, urging them to head to the Capitol. By nightfall, 4 people were dead, and offices throughout the Capitol were trashed by the angry rampage, with lawmakers forced to barricade themselves in the House debating chamber or sheltering in their offices.

As if we already weren't the laughing stock of the world, well folks this put the icing on the cake. This looked like some 3rd world country overturning the government. Here is what the other countries are saying about us during this fiasco.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson calling the protest "disgraceful" and French President Emmanuel Macron tweeting a more defiant "We believe in democracy."

Germany's Foreign Minister Heiko Maas tweeted that "the enemies of democracy will be happy to see these incredible pictures from #WashingtonDC" and that "the disdain for democratic institutions is devastating."

Konstantin Kosachev, the chairman of Russia's Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, who said that the events "showed that American democracy was limping on both legs and the United States lost the right to impose a course on other countries."

Meanwhile, pro-Kremlin daily Izvestia led its coverage with the headline: "Once upon a time in America: how Donald Trump drove the crowd to frenzy" and with the lead stating that "Party members began to turn away from the current president amid the outbreak of violence in Washington."

In Asia, China's "People's Daily" — an official newspaper of the Chinese Communist Party — carried very little coverage on its website's homepage, but "The Global Times," a daily that operates under the auspices of the "People's Daily," headlined its website with the story: "Chinese netizens jeer riot in U.S. Capitol as 'Karma,' say bubbles of 'democracy and freedom' have burst."

Yes, people we have now hit an all time low in lows as if we hadn't already done that in these last four years. Hell even Trump ass kisser Mitt Romney changed his tune saying:

“We gather due to a selfish man’s injured pride, and the outrage of supporters who he has deliberately misinformed for the past two months and stirred to action this very morning,” Senator Mitt Romney, Republican of Utah and the 2012 presidential nominee, said after the chamber reconvened. “What happened here today was an insurrection incited by the president of the United States.”

His cabinet and supporters are now trying to cover their asses by jumping off the crazy ship, these included:

Besty Devos, Education Secretary

Elaine Chao, Transportation secretary

Mick Mulvaney,Chief of Staff

Sarah Matthews, White House deputy press secretary

Matthew Pottinger, deputy national security adviser

Tyler Goodspeed, acting chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers

Stephanie Grisham, chief of staff for First Lady Melania Trump.

Anna Cristina “Rickie” Niceta, White House social secretary.

And the list goes on and on but why bore you with the many names that have realized this was the last stop on the crazy train and it was time to get off.

And it only took storming our capital and 5 people dying...imagine that?

What bothers me most is that if these nuts were black, they absolutely would have been shot, peppered sprayed, beaten and even killed but because #45 okay this, they were not. Even though they broke into and destroyed our capital, this is white privilege at it's finest.

I have no idea what will happen when our president elect Joe Biden will take office in the next week but we all need to say a prayer 

We need to pray about change for this country, we need to change the laws on both sides, we need to change policies and most of all we need to change our hearts because after all is said and done we are all Americans, we all bleed red and we will all turn into dust when we die. This is our country and we pick who runs it for us, maybe we need to pray for a whole new overturn for politicians on both sides. Whatever it is we get to choose, and we lord help us, we need to choose wisely.
