My many friends

My many friends 

So if you know me or follow me you know that I have many friends. I know that I am truly blessed to be able to have so many friends and so many lifelong friends.

I always say that I love Facebook's remember when, because for one, I can't remember shit and two, it gives me such joy to look back over the years at my friendships.

Some people don't have any friends, which I don't even understand. Some people may have one or two good friends. But not everyone is as blessed like me with many, many friends. I'm not talking about "Facebook" friends. I'm talking about real friends that you speak to every day or every week. Friends that you take the time out to go visit. Friends that if you pick up the phone at 3 am, will be there for you. Yes, not everyone is that blessed, but for some reason, I am. 

I still speak to my friends that I've known since we were 5. Friends from elementary school. Teenager friends who went through rough times with me. People that I met along my journey in life that became new friends. I now put together my new friends with my old friends so we can all be friends.

Life is so hard, and there are so many shitty times in life that you need your friends. There are so many memories that I have made with all of my different friends. This is what life is about. It's not about phony likes, how many fake Facebook friends you have, or how many things you've acquired. At the end of the day, it's about who is there for you. It's about the memories you will take with you when you breathe your last breath. This is the stuff that is important. This is what life is all about.

So today, my dear dear friends, I want to thank you all for the joy you bring to my life. I want to thank you for all the laughter and the late night tears we have shared. I want to thank you for teaching me to have a big enough heart to be able to include everyone. I thank you for all the memories that I hold dearest in my heart. You are the family I choose and what a great choice it was.
