The Two Most Important Days Of Your Life

I write a lot about what your purpose is or finding your purpose. I also write about change and how it's up to you to change your life and that only you can do it.

There is a quote I love from Mark Twain that says, 

"The two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you realize why?"

The day you realize your calling is a magical day. You feel free, like you just opened up this amazing gift, and it's all yours. I write all the time about making changes in your life, to chase your dreams because I know how short life truly is. At least for me, I don't want to live with any regrets.

If you follow me, you know this blog is not just for you all that follow me; it's for me as well. Each time I write it, it reinforces what I believe in. I am putting out my "intention" to the universe in my words.

Everything I write about, I have gone through or have tried myself, there is nothing here that says do as I say, not as I do. No, I own my life. I own my screw ups; I own my mistakes and failures. So yes, I know how hard it may be sometimes because I've been there, and I think that is why my readers can relate to my stories.

This has been a long, hard journey for me to find myself, to realize my worth, and to find my passion and purpose. I had to learn who I was, what I would put up with and learn to like myself again. Then I had to learn what my dreams were. What I really want in this life and how to go about changing to get there but I have gotten it. I have been constantly working on changing since the day I went to the Louise Hays "I can do it conference" years ago.

As far back as I can remember, I loved to write poems and short stories, and I can remember having a journal since I started writing as a young child. When I found the blogging sites, I was thrilled! Now I can write every day. For years I have wanted to write a book but you know how it is, life gets in the way...until I realized that I went through all I did for a purpose, so that I can shine the light on a subject that has been kept in the dark due to shame and guilt.

I knew I had to admit how a strong, independent woman gave her power away to a man? What made me do it? How did I keep that secret and put on a facade each and every day while I was dying inside? It's funny, no one realizes what is going on behind closed doors, not your friends, your co-workers, and not even your family, you only show them what you want them to see.

To do this I had to tell my truth. I had to write about how when I finally found my voice, everyone blamed me because they thought he was "too perfect" to do that. How many people said I must be lying, so they dropped me out of their lives. But that was okay, my story is about the fight and my journey to get back to myself. I didn't need their approval or belief in me, I had my own.

This is why I went through all of this, and this is what I was born to do. I wrote my books so that I might be able to help someone, inspire them to find their inner beauty, their soul, and their self-worth again. I hope my story will give someone the courage to change their lives.

So today, my friends, find your purpose, change your life, and believe in your dreams. I know that this is my dream, and yes, I am chasing it even at my age because you're never too old to learn or to change. So ask yourself, what were you born to do? What is your purpose? Make today the second best day of your life
