Ask and you shall receive

There are many books out there in the last few years that say this...ask and you shall receive, what you put out into the universe comes back to you, if you envision it, you can have it.

You have The Secret, Think and grow rich, You can heal your life and so many more that there are now whole sections of this type of books in Barnes and Noble book stores.

Yes, everyone is calling it "New age" but it's not new at all it has been around for hundreds and thousands of years, it all came from the bible.
Here are a few:

Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Luke 11.8
I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.

Matthew 7.7
Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.

There are so many more verses throughout the bible that says this. So now we wrap it up in a new cover and sell it to millions of people and act like it's new.
Look all you have to do is believe, that is the bottom line, sounds crazy right?
Come on you say, get real that doesn't really happen.

Well your right, with that kind of mind set it will never happen to you but if you believe, if you envision it, if you pray and let God worry, it will happen.

I remember laying in my bed crying myself to sleep every night, praying, and envisioning my "new" life I would have once I got the courage to leave my horrible marriage. I had a vision board, I wrote down what my dreams were, how I wanted to feel, what I wanted my house to look like, all of it and I believed with all my heart and soul these things would happened. I believed I would travel around the world, I believed I could take care of myself and my girls, I never gave up hope even in my darkest times, I held on to my faith.

And yes, all of it came to pass, I asked and I received, I kept on knocking and he opened doors, he gave me all I needed and more, much, much more.

So do I believe it works? Absolutely but you need to believe it works, you need to see it, feel it, taste it as if it was real. You need to hold on and keep praying even though you might be in the deepest, darkest place right now, you need to have faith, you need to pray and you need to know it will happen, not on your time but on God's.

People laugh at me when I tell them I will be a New York Times bestselling author, that I will have a international blog and that I will be on the women of faith tour. Ha, they say how will you do it? That dream is way to big ...they don't know my God, he can do anything, nothing is impossible for him, no dream is too big.

Look at Oprah, Tyler Perry, Steve Harvey, Jim Carey, look at their stories they were all poor, Tyler and Steve were homeless for a while, they all had hard lives but what was the one thing they shared, they had a dream, they believed it was going to happen, they envisioned what their lives would be one day, hell Jim Carey even carried around a check he wrote to himself for years for one million dollars only for it to come to pass years later.

So today my friends remember no dream is too big, all you have to do is dream it, believe it, ask for it, pray on it, envision it, as I always tell you, nothing is impossible if you believe...
