Make an impact

This is the end of our 8 day Daniel fast. I make a commitment for eight days, every first week of the year. It is to cleanse my mind, my body and my soul for the start of a prosperous new year.

See, I want to make an impact, an impact for God, for my girls, for my family and friends, for my readers that follow me and to the world.

We all have responsibility to make an impact, to create change among people and things around you.

God is calling all of us to have greater impact for him.
You can create impact by the things you say and do, things we are called to do, to make an impact.

We cannot get stucked into the norm around us, evil seems to be the norm now, lies seem to be the norm now. Keeping up with the Jones's, getting the most likes on social media, being "famous" is the norm now, this is what everyone seems to seek after today.

But this is not what we are called to do, called to be.
For me it's not about being "famous" it's about using my God given purpose to help others. To know that all I went through wasn't in vain, that I have a testimony to share about God's goodness and mercy.

We are all changed by the words that come out of mouths and our deeds. What are you prophesizing over your life? What are your words doing? Are they raising you up or putting you down?

What I learned this year is that the number 7 is completion. I have already completed everything that God has  desired me to complete and closed the door on what is not good for me.

I learned that day 8, God said everything we need is in his house.
Don't let walls block it, walls of fear, walls of doubt, or anyone's else's walls block you.

God has spoken that the impact that is going to hit our lives, coming this year is so big, that the enemy is going to design people to hate you. But you cannot be afraid of criticism, of people taking about you because to much is given, much is required.

I learned this year that I am a soldier for God weither I want to be or not. Weither it's popular or not, weither people like me or not, follow me or not, stay in my life or leave, this is my purpose and I must follow his path for me.

I realized that God only gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers and I have been through many battles, battles that may have killed others, but I am still standing.

So I will continue to speak over my life, I speak favor, health, prosperity, joy, grace, peace and love. I will do all that is asked of me, I will keep the doors he shut closed as he knows what he is doing. I will listen more, I will pray more and I will fast more often.

See for me I need this like a thirsty man needs water. I need this because I remember all too well what my life was before him and trust and believe I never want to be there again. This is what gets me through my days, through the storms that come at me hard and fast.

So today my friends, this is why I fast, these are the lessons I've learned and this is why I do what I do. There is no magic secret of how I got through all I have, there is no magic potion of how I keep getting blessed, there is no secret formula on my life, it's all God, it's always been and always will be God.

So if you want to change your life, you first need to admit you can't do it on your own, just like in AA, the first step is admitting you have a problem. After that he will take care of everything if you just let go.
My last 6 years  resolutions that helped me get to this place are:

1. Pray and let God worry
2. Let God and let go
3. Be present in your purpose
4. Be real with yourself
5. Know your self worth
6. Give over your purpose, for me it's admitting that I am God's soldier.

These life resolutions have changed me and can change you as well.
And as I say in the end of every blog....
"Be the change you want to see"
