Shooting on my beach

Nine people were injured Monday evening when gunfire erupted along a beachside promenade in Hollywood, Florida, sending people frantically running for cover along the crowded beach on Memorial Day.

As I read this, my body felt cold, I could not be reading this, right? A shooting on my beach? The beach I go to every weekend, the beach I was just on for the last two days? It seemed unreal. But yes, it was true. I believe this is only going to get worse here in Florida. Last month, licensing requirements to carry a concealed firearm in most public places were eliminated after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis quietly signed HB 543. The law, which goes into effect July 1, made Florida the 26th state to not require a concealed weapons license.

Great, now every sicko will be able to carry a concealed weapon. If you thought we had problems before, just wait. They said two groups of men were arguing when one of the men pulled out a gun and started shooting. What happened to the real men of years ago that actually fought with their fists. The toughest one won, period. No, now these pussys have to have a gun because they don't know how to fight. They are scared without a gun to make them look tough.

This gun crisis is getting worse day after day, and thousands of people are murdered. Kids are losing their parents, parents are losing their children, when does this stop? We can only make a change if we speak out if we start voting. These politicians are there because you decided your vote doesn't count, and so you stayed home and did nothing. Every day, we hear about another mass shooting, and every day we get, we are sorry for your loss and nothing else from the government to try to change things. 

So today my friends, remember we can change the world. We have the power in our votes, the power to run for office to make a change. Like I say at the end of every blog…you need to be the change you want to see. Let's not see one more family have to bury their loved ones over gun violence.
