Maybe your not ready for your blessing

There are many times in life when it seems like you are doing all the right things. You are a good person, you help others, you work hard and maybe your even a "good Christian" believing in your faith, going to church, tithing and being faithful, yet you still are waiting for your blessings.

I know I feel that way sometimes, like when is this going to happen? God, I've been through so much, sometimes it seems like it's more one person should ever have to go through. Yet, I do all the "right" things, still I am waiting.

I see others advancing in their careers, without all the hard work, when I sit up after working all hours trying to advance mine.
People sleeping in, when I am up at 5am writing this blog and promoting myself. Why? Sometimes it kills me that my ex is still living the big life after all he's done while I am killing myself working 3 jobs.

Yeah, yeah that's not the "Christian" way...whatever... Let's be real here...the only thing I am...
That's what most of us are thinking, why are they so far ahead or why do they have so much when I worked harder, had more faith, did all the right things? It's human nature to think this way.

Look, I know I am going to have all the things I am praying for because I now have all the things I use to pray for, before.

So I know it's coming but why tell me? Why put it in my spirit only to make me keep struggling for so long? Why do you dangle it in front of my face just to make it harder to get there?

I've come to the realization that maybe I am not ready for the blessings, yet. Maybe I need to work some more things out before I am to see the blessings.
It's like if you had a son and a car and you want to bless him with that car, if you bless him with it while he is 7, the car is the same, the blessing is the same but at 7 he's not ready for it but at 17 he is.
Same blessing, same kid but he's not ready for the blessing.

This is how we need to look at this...the blessing is here but we may not be ready yet.
Ever see people who suddenly become famous and they lose their minds? They get taken advantage of, they start doing drugs, it's all too much for them to handle, they are not prepared.
Same concept...we are not prepared for it...yet....
That doesn't mean it's not coming, it means it's not coming yet.

So as many times as I feel discouraged, I hold on, I cry when it's overwhelming, I cry out when? When God when? Yet, I still hold on even if it's to the tiniest bit of faith but I am holding on.

So today my friends, remember the blessing is there for you, you just may not be ready for it. Just hold on, keep the faith, trust and believe that it is going to turn around for you.
Keep up the hard work, keep believing in your dreams, one day you will have the blessings and the testimony to tell others, that they need to hang on. Because you've been there.

Today's message was really for me this morning but I hope you got something out of it as well. Sometimes you have to give yourself the pep talk when you have no one else to do it!
