We all have crosses to bear

Every morning on my way to the gym I listen to some kind of YouTube video. It may be motivation like Tony Robbins or Trent Sheldon or it may be TD Jake's or another preacher but it is always something to motivate and make me think, learn or grow.

Today on the way here I was listening to TD Jake and his sermon was a ah..ha Oprah lightbulb moment for me. He talk about everyone having a cross to bear.
We all had things we did in the past, we've all screwed up, we all loved a person even when they treated us less than. We all worked at jobs that didn't pay us our worth, or had a child that made us cry or bleed yet we did it, we stuck it out, we changed, we hurt, yet we hung on.

See whatever makes you bleed is your cross.
Whatever kills your flesh is your cross.

People keep saying they are Christians...
They say "Oh if you become a Christian, life will be wonderful, you'll have riches, it will be perfect"

That is a crock of shit, your telling me your a Christian by what works in your life but your a true Christian by what doesn't work in your life.

Your faith is proven by your sacrifice, because you believe it and it's killing you.

But you keep believing, for a bigger purpose, you stay, you stand and you endure.

That is the part that got me, you believe and it's killing you yet you keep believing. Wow...trust me, sometimes it feels like that

It's about what kills your pride, what scares you to death but you did it anyway, you did it scared.

It's about going on through storm after storm when non believers ask you "Where is that great God of yours?"
And you may be thinking the same thing but you hold on...you hold on to that tiny bit of faith as small as a mustard seed.

It's about persevering when you think you can't go on one more day. It's about seeing people who have no faith, go places you know you earned and just sitting back knowing that one day he will open that door for you as well.

It's about crying at night because you don't think you can take one more second of pain but knowing that darkness only endures a night but joy comes in the morning.

It's about knowing his word and trusting him to do it for you again. Knowing that it may not be on your time but he is a right on time God.

Yes, it's not easy sometimes but that is our cross to bear, it wasn't easy for Jesus was it?
So are we any better? No, we just need to have his faith, know that sometimes we are the lamb and we must do what we don't to. To grow, to learn, to be a testimony for others who may not think they can make it.

It's not easy this faith walk and I am so not perfect but I have faith. Even if sometimes I ask "Why God why?" I still know it will be alright.
I wrote this week about not stressing anymore because it can't change the situation so I just give it up to him and I am good. Funny that was the message at church last night...always a conformation when I need one.

That is what keeps me going. That is what I hold on to in bad times, that knowing that it will be alright, that I survived all I did for a purpose. That this is why I was blessed with this gift of writing to help others and I can't relate if I haven't been there...

So today my friends, trust me...I've been there, and not just once...
Yet I still hold on, I still believe even when it's killing me...that is sacrifice, that is the cross I bear...
