Tips for an actual online date

Tips for an actual online date
If you read yesterday's blog then you know the tips you need to look out for in online dating.
If you got past all the bullshit to actually have a real date here are my tips to keep you safe.
1. Never tell them where you live. I actually tell them the wrong city altogether.
2. Get a fake phone number. It's easy to look online for an app that lets you get a different number that you can call and text from.
3. Tell someone where you are going. Screenshot them his picture and information including phone number.
4. Meet in a public place with lots of people. Starbucks or Dunkin donuts, somewhere your not alone.
5. Don't leave your drink alone with him no matter how "nice" of a guy he seems, you never know if he will slip something into your drink.
6. Do not bring him back to your house or go to his unless of course you're on Tinder and that's what you're looking for... who I am to judge? Just be safe.
7. Mother's don't be so fast to introduce them to your children. I dated plenty of men and my kids never met them. I even had long term boyfriends that I knew weren't going to last so why bother? Unless your truly serious and am thinking of long term. (You may think you know them but trust and believe, you don't! I'm begging you spend the 30.00 and get a background check before introducing them to your kids)
8. Don't be so fast to tell them all the details of your life. You don't know them and they might turn out to be psychos who will end up staking you.
9. Make sure you pay attention when driving home. Go a different route to see if they are following you. Hello, there are nut jobs out there!
10. Listen to your intuition, seriously the best advice I can give you here. If your hair is standing up, if your gut is talking to you, if something feels wrong, it is! Listen and get the hell out of there.
So today my friends, these are my 10 tips for an actual online date. Look dating is hard today, so many liars, catfish, and scammers out there we all must be careful. But as many crappie dates as I've been on and trust me there have been plenty...
I am still Tinkerbell and I still believe...
I know that there are good men out there just like I know there are plenty of good women, so I will keep trying and I will definitely keep blogging about the losers!
Stay safe out there!
