Priceless experiences

Recently I have had some doubts about my purpose, it's not what is my purpose that I am doubting, it's when it is coming.

I remember writing about how I am sick of working 3 jobs. When is this going to stop, when will my season finally come?

When will I finally live for my purpose?

Look, we all do this even if we are believers, we are human first and foremost, so yes, we question, we are inpatient and we doubt.

So when I am in doubt I ask for a sign and most times, I ask for more than one sign as I am hard headed.

But every time I ask for a sign, every single time, he will give me one and this time was no different.

The first sign was when I was praying, I opened my bible and the first verse I came to, spoke about the pain you have to go through and how it's all according to God's purpose, so that you may help others but then the message at church yesterday (well virtual church anyway) was...

"Instead of praying to get out of a bad season, figure out the blessing, or the lesson you are supposed to learn while you're in this season.

No one will escape the discomforts of life, sometimes it has to get bad, you have to hit rock bottom, you have to lose it all and you question God, Why? When is it going to be over? Yes, no matter how deep your faith is you will cry out "Why me? Please make it stop"

See but your discomfort serves a purpose, so that you can comfort someone else, so that you may have a testimony to tell others.

How are you going to say to someone else I know what you're feeling, if you were never there?

The problem is that you just don't know how to stand in a bad place until God has the gift for you.You are uncomfortable,you want to run, you want to leave, you don't want to stay in this place, your hurting, you've been there before, why do you need to go back?

But your environment has nothing to do with what God has inside of you, this is going on because you need to go through these things, these are lessons you need to learn, so that you can go on to help others, so that others can look up to you and say "I'm not alone, she made it...he made it...I can make it too..."

Sometimes the biggest thing in life to help you get through is just knowing that you're not alone. It's knowing that others have been there and have overcome it, that small fact can keep you. It can make you dig deeper to keep going, to persevere even when it feels like the whole world is against you, it gives you hope to make it through one more day.

Yes,God has you going through something right now, he has us all going through it. I know that this is a tough time for many of us. We are afraid, we don't have a job or money, we wonder when is this going to end and what our lives and the world will look like when this is over. We need to hold on and know that we all have a purpose and if you stand in belief of your purpose, and in the belief of God, you will know that this is all according to his plan for your purpose. Yes, this was my sign and yes, he gave me not one but two as he knows me so well.

So today my friends, remember we all go through bad times, we all question our purpose, our faith gets shaken, we feel like we can't go on, yet it is in these times you need to dig deeper, you need to give it all to him...whoever he is for you...God, the Universe, Buddha, whoever your higher being may be.

You need to learn the lesson then you need to pray and let it go...knowing this is for your purpose, that you're growing, learning...that this my friends, is a priceless experience.
