Clutter in your home equals clutter in your mind
Clutter in your home equals clutter in your mind
I've owned a professional organization business for the last nine years, and I can tell you I've seen it all.
I've gone to people's homes, and there is only a walkway throughout their homes. The rest is filled with clutter.
I know that if there is clutter around me, it makes me feel like I can't breathe. I feel like I am being crushed by all the stuff. It makes me nervous and anxious. This is what clutter does to most people. You feel like you can't think, you can't breathe.
I talk all the time about your state of mind, feeling blessed or grateful. Being positive and exercising for your peace of mind. But we don't talk about your home and what it can do to your mindset. I tell my clients all the time your home should rise up to meet you. It should be your haven from the world, but if you're drowning in stuff, there is no peace. Even if you're doing everything else right, this piece of the puzzle will screw it all up.
Your mind needs to relax. It needs to breathe as well. You need that space where you can come home and let everything go. In a cluttered home, you can not do that.
So today, my friends, my advice is that if your home isn't a relaxing place, a peaceful haven, then do something about it. It may be overwhelming, but we, professional organizers, are here to help you. Hire someone if it's too much for you. I can't tell you how many clients I have done, that afterward they say "Wow, my home feels so peaceful"
We must work on every part of our lives, our minds, our bodies, and even our homes to be the change we want to see.
