Why be a catfish?
Why be a catfish?
I have been dating for 9 years since my divorce, and I have to tell you things are definitely different from 24 years ago when I was single.
With online dating, this is a whole different game now. It's hard enough to meet people, and then you have to figure out if they are a catfish or not.
I just don't get it, or maybe I do because there are so many desperate people out here looking for love. Once someone gives them an ounce of attention, it's game on.
Here's the thing, I own my own business, I have a home I have to take care of, I have 2 daughters, and I have a social life that I enjoy. I hardly have time for dating, and I definitely don't have time for games.
I know most catfish are looking to scam you. They suck you in, love bomb you, then give you some bullshit sob story about needing money. And believe it or not, many people fall for it. Even though there are many red flags, like being a widow, working overseas, being a soldier, and so on.
They can't spell right. They say things that just aren't right, like " i am John by name", who says that? Catfish, that's who! Yes, I've learned all of this by trial and error that now I can spot a catfish a mile away.
But it still pisses me off. I don't have time for games, so piss off! Get a life! Invest your time in something better than trying to scam people. There are real people out here looking for a real relationship.
So today my friends, please be careful. There are so many catfish out here with obviously nothing better to do with their time that they will try and try to suck some unlucky person in. Remember that saying if it's too good to be true, it is. And for you catfish out there, you suck and karma will one day come and bite you in the ass. It can't be quick enough for me because I can't imagine why you would want to be a catfish.
