Okay what the hell is going on in this world? That people are so self absorbed that they are not even paying attention to life threatening things?

Hello? As recently as yesterday someone got mauled by a tiger trying to get a selfie by putting their head by his cage? Seriously who is that stupid? Obviously 259 people that's who.

In July of this year, 19-year-old Gavin Zimmerman fell to his death while taking selfies on a cliff in New South Wales, Australia.
In Sept, an18-year old hiker from Jerusalem died after he fell more than 800 feet off a cliff at Yosemite National Park. The man’s mother said he had been trying to take a selfie at the edge of Nevada Fall, a popular waterfall in the park, when he fell.

Roughly two weeks later, a 32-year-old California woman 
met a similar fate while hiking at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan when she slipped and fell to her death after stopping at the edge of a 200-foot cliff to snap some selfies.

More and more people are doing stupid shit to try to become overnight sensations and get their 15 minutes of fame.
Even risking their own lifes to be the next YouTube video. Have they lost their minds? Obviously they have and their lives right along with it.
Why are we so obsessed with ourselves? I don't get it, I have two girls who selfie all the time and I still don't get it. Look I get if you want a nice picture of yourself but seriously do you need  5,000 of them? And what's with the duck lips? Does anyone think they look good? Obviously millions do and we will still be laughing at these photos years from now.

We are so self absorbed that we can no longer go to a concert or event without filming it. We are not enjoying life's precious moments in real time.
And now we are literally dying for our 15 minutes of fame. We need to enjoy and be present in the moment, we need to live in the here and now. 

So today my friends, remember life is too short and will be shorter if you don't stop not paying attention to the world around you.
Trust me on your deathbed you won't be saying I wish I took more selfies, you'll be saying I wish I put down my phone and spent quality time with the people I loved and actually engaging in my real life.
Don't be a statistic like the 259 selfie related deaths.
