Let him in

"If anyone hears my voice and lets me in, I will come in and eat with that person and he with me"

What is Jesus really asking us in this bible verse?
A door suggests there is access available to a restricted area, that door is to your life.

You need permission to access the door and like wise, God needs permission to come in.
He needs your permission to come in and have the maximum inpact in our lives.
But you ask, why? He gave us life, why would he need permission to come in?
The fact that he is standing at the door suggest he is interested in getting into all affairs of your life.
He says "I care about you and I want you to invite me in"

It is a determination by God to say I will stand by your door until you let me in, I will not force my way in.
He says I will keep standing by your door and I will keep knocking on your door, until you invite me in.

We are all so caught up in this me society but life is not you, the real you is an internal being. Your spirit doesn't have a birthday but your spirit needed a body on this earth and so God gave you one.

We must realize that life is the expiration of time, life and time is what connects us to eternity.
But we are so busy with our lives so we dont listen, but he keeps knocking anyways. You think you got it all together, you think don't need God, but one day you wont hear the knocking anymore. One day we will lose our breath and we will be out of time.

He will leave it up to you to invite him in, he wants to get involved in your life, in your career, in your love life, in your children and your family but he will first knock and wait for you.

You hear the knock but your doing your own thing. He wants to give you a better life, he wants to show you the way but you keep refusing to listen to him, refusing to let him in.

It is what and who we allow to come into our lives that will affect our lives.
We keep making bad choices, we keep doing what we want to do, the wrong men, the wrong jobs, the wrong people you have in your life.

We need to be humble to have patience, to have tolerance and love for one another, this is what he wants to teach us.

If you listen, you will open the door to the right person. Who's voice are you listening to and who are you opening the door up to?
You have to be careful that you are discerning the voice of God.
Make sure the knocks you receive are the voice that you need to hear. That, that voice is God that is taking to you, only then should you open the door and let him in.
