Every season serves a purpose, yes, each season creates an opportunity for you to excel.
Sometimes the season you are in right now sucks!
Okay, let's be real, this might be the sucky season for you, hell it is for many of us. Stuck in a pandemic, lost your job, no money, the world is going crazy around you and you feel like you're losing your mind.
Your thinking, is this for real? Can anymore crap happen to me? I am done!
What? Did you think because you deserve it or better yet because you're a "Christian" now that it's all going to be sunshine and roses?
No, sorry to bust your bubble, not happening. See there will be horrible seasons and there will be incredible seasons, that is just life.
There is a commercial that says too much of a good thing is bad. He has one of something and it's good but when a hundred show up, well...not so good.
Same thing if we only had sunny days, how would we appreciate them without knowing the storms?
You have to go through the really bad times so when the really good times come, you are truly grateful for them.
So then you ask how am I supposed to get through this? Here's the key, if while going through your bad season, are you cursing God? Are you saying why me? Do you lose your faith? Are you in the poor me phase? Be honest, how are you dealing with this?
The difference between a winner and a loser, it is how you get to the finish line, that's it.
If no matter what life throws at you, if you still believe you will be okay, if you still have faith, if you have a positive attitude, if you know that you will get through this even though it really sucks at this moment, then you're a winner and you will succeed.
Now here comes Willy Wonker, warning! No sugar coating shit! So yes, even when you do all of that, even when you know things are going to get better, you will occasionally fall on your face.
You will let a coworker have it because he is disrespectful towards you, you have one person on the phone screaming at you and three on hold waiting to scream at you over business, you will have some really bad days and you will think when is this coming? Come on, haven't I waited long enough? You will cry and yell and throw your hands up and that's okay because you are human. We all have been in that position, where we fall, we get frustrated, and yes, we ask when is my season coming? But what you need to do is walk outside, take a few deep breaths, maybe listen to some music, go home run a bath with some wine and have a good cry. For me I give thanks, even in the midst of all of this that has been going on, I give thanks. I give thanks for all my other blessings I have and for the incredible blessings that will be coming my way soon enough.
This gets me through the rest of my day, the rest of the week and I always eventually get a message that I need to let me know it will be alright. So yes, I fall down, I feel sorry for myself, I have pity parties but then I get right back up and give thanks and go on but I never lose my faith.
So today my friends, if you're having one of those days, stop, breathe, give thanks and be grateful, it will all be alright, your season is coming, hold on. Trust and believe, have faith, that's all you have to do and remember you will be okay.
