The results are in the test
What do you do when there are a lot of things coming at you?
When it feels like everything is against you?
When you feel like you're fighting an army of people who are against you, what do you do?
When you're so close to your break through, yet something else happens to take you ten steps backwards...what do you do?
When all you want to do is give up, when you've had enough, when you don't think you can survive for one more day.Especially now with this pandemic that we are going through, how are you handling this?
Ask yourself, have you walked out of the will of God? Have you done things on your own, not listening to God's words? Have you asked for his help? You need to be honest with God, tell him what you need, tell him that you need his help. You need to give it all to him, he's there, he's waiting on you, all you need to do is let go.
You need to know that you are a mighty warrior of God, you can be down but you're still mighty, you may have lost everything but you're still mighty. God says you're still mighty. No matter what your situation is, know who you are and whose you are, you are the child of the most high God, don't worry he's got you. As long as you keep looking at the bad in your situation, you're never going to see your potential. As long as all you see is your failures, you will never see your potential. Forget about all the things you lost, all of your failures, the people who caused you pain, it's in the past and you're moving forward.
But if you're like me, you might ask why am I going through all of this? I am trying to do right, to be the best person you want me to be, why God? Why is it that everytime I am close to my breakthrough, it doesn't happen? Why? Where are you? Are you listening, God?
When you've done all you could do and yet still be in this situation, you cry out why? You heard a voice but you wonder is this your spirit or the flesh? It sounds like God but is it really his voice? You question yourself, you question God, you question life. Remember when Jesus said to Peter and the disciples to go on the boat, that he would meet them on the other side. They listened but when the storm got bad, they had doubts, they questioned, they wanted to turn back but Peter said "He said he will meet us, he will"
Peter didn't know if that was Jesus' voice calling him to come out of the boat, but he believed in what he said. If God says he will meet you later, you better believe him, even if your going through the storm, you trust he will get you through the storm because he said he would,
and he is not a man to lie.
I know that you think you can't test God, but you better test God, he wants you to put him to the test.
When you hear God's voice, put him to the test. If he speaks to you, do what he says, do what he asks no matter how crazy you think it sounds. My Bishop tells the story all the time about not having any money when the lord told him to go shopping. "But I have no money" he said, God said just go. So he tested God he went to the grocery store, he filled his cart with groceries, went to the cashier and waited... and sure as God told him, someone behind him said "I want to pay for your groceries". He tested God and God showed him he is not a man to lie.
Challenge me....God said.
When I was starting this business I challenged God again and again to show me that this was his will.
I asked If you want me to start this business have Groupon or Living social call me and take me on as a client, after they told me no repeatedly. The next day the phone rang and yes, Groupon ran my ad after turning me down 4 times before.
But I needed another confirmation and so I tested him again for another sign. Two nights later a lady who I've never met was seated next to me in church, she was crying, I put my arm around her and gave her tissues. After the sermon she told me God told her to come to this church. She was a pastor and profite from the Bahamas. God told her to tell me not to worry about starting this business, it was going to be fine, just trust in him, I was shocked so much so that you I went into the ulgy cry.
Yet still I had to test him again, I have told you before that I am hard headed right? I just needed one more sign but I wasn't listening and in the meantime this amazing job with benefits and a steady salary, which I needed to support my girls was offered to me. How was I supposed to pass this up? But this was not what God had ordained for me so God closed that door because I didn't listen and after my first day I was fired.
I have never been fired ever and hello? On your first day? How bad could you possibly screw up on your first day? I went home and cried, I was devastated but I tested God and he answered by closing a door that wasn't meant for me.
The following day my phone started ringing for my business and had not stopped in the last eight years!
Yes, I tested God and he showed me, he told me from the beginning he had me yet I needed him to show me over and over that he was there, that this was his word and yet he did.
So today my friends, remember you can test God, you can say show me the greatest you have in store for me, you can ask him to reinsure you and if you're hard headed like me you might need more than one sign. Even during this crisis he will be there for you, God may not show up when you want him too, on your time but if you keep working your word, if you believe...God will fulfill your every need, just put him to the test.
